Oreilles en balade à La Rouquette - Balade sonore : parcours de Pierre Prevost

France > Occitanie > Aveyron > 12200 > La Rouquette > Le bourg

Pierre Prevost lives in a place called Léonard. He's a sculptor who brings to life a whole host of animals made from old objects that are no longer useful. Listen to him talk about his work as you stroll through his creations.

The path leading to Pierre Prevost's home is at Léonard, a path populated by his creatures. After Léonard, at the end of the Chemin de Combarel, you'll find a sculpture on the right with a QR code at its center, which you can flash. This will give you access to two audio documents, one to listen to on the way out and the other on the way back. There's no children's document, but they won't need it as Pierre's animals will take them on a journey. In the first document, Pierre accompanies you on your way. Wait for him to say "Let's go down the path" before you start walking. The path leads 900 meters to his home. Along the way, Pierre will explain how he gives life to all these objects from the past, how he chooses them at flea markets, or how the objects choose him! On this path and elsewhere, he creates real settings, playing with nature and its particularities? Pierre exhibits for passers-by and enjoys sharing his humorous creations. We promise you a delightful moment in a poetic and facetious universe. On your return, listen to the second document "Au coeur de l'univers de Pierre Prévost". He'll tell you more about himself, his home and his artistic career. He created his place from scratch, first a cabin, then a workshop, then a house? and he's given life to so many sculptures, that today the workshops are full of them and Pierre works outside! He tells us about his training in applied art, where he learned to work metal and goldsmiths. He tells us about the artists who worked with recycled materials, and about Picasso and his sculpture of a bull's head! He tells us about the objects he uses and the memories associated with them, a whole history of the 50s with the coal bucket and stovepipes? He likes to divert objects that everyone knows, like the fork! "For me, it's a pleasure to transgress. Changing the function of something is a transgression!
