The Café de la Paix opened its doors in 1862, a stone's throw from the Palais Garnier. It attracted many celebrities (Oscar Wilde, Marlene Dietrich...). With its Second Empire style décor, its ceiling signed by Charles Garnier, its gold leafed panelling, the Café de la Paix is typical of the end of the 19th century. It offers traditional brasserie cuisine: seafood platters, a wide choice of fish, meats and desserts.
