Cyclotourisme : Circuit - Vallées du Goul, Truyère et château de Valon

The Goul River marks the border between Cantal and Aveyron and winds its way through a peaceful valley to reach the Rouergat country. After Entraygues, you will go up in balcony above the Truyère gorges and discover Valon and its castle perched on a spur. DEPARTURE : Mur-de-Barrez POINTS OF INTEREST - Mur-de-Barrez : Monaco tower, church of the XVIIth-XVIIIth century, alleys and old houses. - Lacroix-Barrez : path of the imaginary : " from magma to stone ", church, statue, cardinal Verdier museum (by appointment). - Murols : Church with combed bell tower, path of the imaginary in Murols " of fire and wind ", viewpoints on the Cantal mountains and the Goul gorges. - Pons : flowered village and remarkable by its roofs of schist with strong slopes and their sitting dogs. The actual church is from the XVth c. (beautiful altarpiece and popular statue of St Roch from the XVI/XVIIth c.) - Entraygues : Castle, bridge over the Truyère, confluence, old streets. - Couesques : Espace EDF Truyère : a place to discover the industrial heritage of the Truyère and Lot rivers (in season). - Valon : picturesque village and 12th century castle overlooking the Truyère (classified as a Route des Seigneurs and a Remarkable Site in France and Europe).
