This jewel of neo-Renaissance architecture was built by Marie Brignole-Sale, Duchess of Galliera. Completed in 1894 to house her art collection, the duchess's exhibition project was never realized. Over time, the palace became a museum of industrial art, a space for exhibiting paintings or a place for auctions... In 1977, it became the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris. Today, the palace organizes large temporary exhibitions and presents a permanent collection, renewed periodically because of the fragility of its pieces.
