Formerly known as the Senlis, St-Christophe or Cuise forest, this 4300 ha beech-oak forest is located on a vast plateau at an average altitude of 100 m This forest massif takes its name from Mont Alta (140 m), the second highest point after Mont Pagnotte (220 m). It is one of the three forests of the Oise-Pays de France Regional Nature Park. For history lovers, it contains several vestiges of the past: standing stones such as the two menhirs of Indrolles, the "Cheval de Chancy" or the "Pierre qui corne" but also many Gallo-Roman ruins. To be discovered: the botanical path and the walking routes of Mont Pagnotte and Mont Alta. This beech-oak forest of 4300 ha is located on a vast plateau at an average altitude of 100 m.
