The Maison de la radio et de la musique, nicknamed "the round house", is the work of the architect Henry Bernard. It is made up of a crown with a circumference of 500 metres and a tower 68 metres high. Designed to house French public radio and television and inaugurated in 1963 by General de Gaulle, the building has housed the headquarters of Radio France since 1975. With a total surface area of 100,000 m², the complex also houses nearly 1,000 offices, 60 recording studios including the legendary Studio 104, and the Auditorium of La Maison de la Radio.
