Built for the 1937 Universal Exhibition within the Palais de Chaillot, the Théâtre national de Chaillot, renamed in 2016 Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse, is an Art Deco jewel and an institution of live performance. Dedicated to dance and contemporary choreographic expression in all its forms, the establishment hosts numerous shows and ballets each year. It also holds a special place in the history of France and the world. It is notably in its large hall that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 was signed.
