Saint-Martin parish church in Paradou!
A text from 981 mentions the existence of the Priory of Saint Martin from the 10th century and the endowment made to the Abbey of Montmajour by the Lord of Les Baux, Pons le jeune, of land located near the "church of Saint Martin en Félaurie", Félaurie being the ancient name of the southern slopes of the Alpilles. It was supplanted for a time by the castle chapel of St. Mary of Castillon before resuming its function. It will undergo the ups and downs of the conflicts between the parishes of Les Baux, Maussane and St-Martin-de-Castillon before becoming the church of the village of Paradou.
