The buildings in this timeless place are from quite different eras... The oldest is the barn, which was built in the 12th century by the Cistercian monks of the nearby Abbey of Châalis. In the past, the tithe was harvested here, now it houses the hay harvest for the animals. The recently restored dovecote dates back to the 17th century. A stable that had burned down following a major fire was rebuilt in 1848.
