Lac des Iscles

France > Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur > Bouches-du-Rhône > 13550 > Noves

A natural lake on the banks of the Durance, the Lac des Iscles is not a swimming spot but is reserved for fishermen (regular trout releases).

A picnic area is offered on site in the shade of trees near the cool water. A hiking trail ("Noves au fil de l'eau" available at the Tourist Office) allows you to get there while discovering Noves and the banks of the Durance. It is accessible on foot, by bike or on horseback all year round via the Bonpas stadium or on the opposite side by a path behind the Lou Roucas restaurant Access by car can only be done on the days of fishing competitions or in agreement with the association of the fishermen of Noves. A pontoon has been set up. On the road to Châteaurenard, just at the level of the Lou Roucas restaurant, take the path to the water intake. Almost in front of you, you will find a small car park with a barrier. Except on competition days when the barrier is lifted, you will have to park there and follow the path that winds through the undergrowth and leads you to the lake (about 1km) A special fishing permit is required to fish in this lake as well as in the Malautière which feeds it.
