Autour du Canal - Parcours Permanent

From the Tourist Office, walk down to the south of the city through the Cours de la République to the Morel fountain. Turn left and take the path that runs along the canal, formerly called "canal des moulins" (mills' canal), an area rich in water. Go up the left bank for about 3.5 km to reach a small stone bridge This itinerary is marked out by superb bastides, landscapes on the valley, with a view on the Sainte Victoire. The pearl of this walk is a magnificent paddle wheel under the property known as "Castellane" which in the past was supposed to bring water to the noble bastide of the Castellane family. You will be able to quench your thirst at the drinking water spring before going back up into the vineyard landscapes. Leave the banks of the canal to reach the road where you will find the yellow markers that you will have to keep until Pertuis. Follow this road on the right for about 2.2 km (be careful with the traffic) Turn left towards "TOURMIRE" and at the signpost turn left onto the small road towards CALLAMAND In the distance the hills of the three brothers and the Concors. At the entrance of Pertuis, pass in front of the swimming pool and return to the starting point by taking successively the streets: Pierre AUGIER, DES FESTONS, COLBERT, DANTON and FRANCOIS MOREL.
