Thanks to the extensive restoration work carried out by the Communauté de Communes des Sablons, it has been possible to reconstruct more precisely the history of this monument, whose origins date back to the 12th century, and which underwent major changes in the 16th and 19th centuries. An "archaeological hopper" has been set up at the foot of the first left column of the choir, showing the base of the original church 140 cm from the current ground, allowing one to see the successive levels of embankment and pavement.
