On a walk through the Halatte forest, you'll be surprised to see the remains of a Gallo-Roman temple standing out in the thicket! The votive temple was built between 48 and 60 AD, and reached its apogee in the 3rd and 4th centuries. It was found during forestry work in 1825. Excavation figures: - 363 ex-voto statuettes - 1,127 coins, - 18,000 shards, corresponding to some twenty vases, - 40 bronze fibulae. You can admire these objects at the Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie de Senlis, and watch a video showing the reconstruction of the temple.
