GR de Pays Sentier Provence, Mines d'Energie

PATH " Provence Mines d'Energie " PATH The communes of Fuveau, Gréasque, Gardanne, Meyreuil, Mimet, Trets, as well as the Agglo Pays d'Aubagne all share a common heritage linked to the mine. Tangible or intangible, this heritage is declined in different forms in each commune: the presence of miners, a path, shafts, a museum, a specific site... These communes wished to work together in order to enhance this heritage by creating a route called "Sentier, Provence Mine d'Energies", a GR de pays which will link the different important sites, in the form of a pedestrian loop. For the commune of Trets, the section of this pedestrian loop is the communal path of the Sérignane, running along the stream (Ancien chemin de Saint Zacharie) which leads to Peynier. The possibility once off the path to discover our heritage old entrance to the mine The Château des Remparts, the Church of Our Lady of Nazareth and the medieval city can be visited. A visit to our local producers is also possible.
