Between the Mediterranean Sea and the lagoons, Port-Leucate is a timeless place that bears witness to the history and heritage of our region. Created in 1997, Île aux loisirs, a nautical leisure base, invites you to discover the wild, unspoilt nature around the Etang de Salses Leucate. Here, you can only dock on one of the four islands of the Etang de Salses-Leucate by water, using a canoe, pedalo, paddle, aquastepper or boat without a license, and observe the wealth of flora and fauna. Set around a traditional fisherman?s house built in the same style as the "barracas" in Le Barcarès, l?Île aux loisirs, with its bar-restaurant-lounge "La Paillote", is a very special place, with a poetic and terribly inspiring universe.
