I have always drawn landscapes, old houses in our villages... First with pencil, then with Indian ink.. I discovered watercolour more than twenty years ago, a little by chance when a lady asked me to paint a street in her native village... It was love at first sight for this technique. My beautiful region, the Lorraine Gaumaise, inspires me... Places like Avioth, Marville, Montmédy, Orval or Montquintin are places where I can find inspiration. I often walk there, calm, serene, my sketchbook in hand in search of new subjects And then there is the sea, the seaside. I must have had an ancestor who was a privateer, freebooter, explorer or even a pirate because, every year, I can't resist the call of the ocean. That's how, in spring or autumn, I set off to plant my easel towards the Great West, on the coast of Brittany or Normandy? Since 1994, group and above all personal exhibitions have followed one another... In my region and my country first of all, then, the desire to discover other horizons allowed me to exhibit in Brittany, Normandy, Luxembourg and Switzerland along Lake Geneva. Finally, I discovered the technique of acrylic on canvas, which had been tempting me for a while! I wanted to paint differently. I do not regret my approach because I always try to evolve. Today, you will surely find me in my studio, in Avioth, at the foot of the Gothic stone ship, sitting in front of my canvas or my Arches paper, listening to a little music that often inspires... Come and see me, you will see my universe of ochre and blue, stone and earth, sky and water. You will see me as a watercolorist or acrylist. You will see me passionate.. Ask me to tell you about my art, my region, I will be happy to answer you. So, welcome to Avioth, to "L'Ocre Bleue", my new workshop, my little corner of paradise, my home port now. Welcome to an artistic and poetic stopover..
