The Côtes de Meuse is an emblematic landscape entity in the heart of Lorraine, thanks in particular to the mirabelle plum which is grown there.. From the coasts and mounds, remarkable viewpoints open out onto the plain of the Woëvre. The panorama is almost infinite and the impression of grandeur is astonishing Conversely, from the plain, the front of the coasts forms an omnipresent and attractive horizon line and one can see the numerous orchards of mirabelliers and other fruit trees cultivated at the bottom of the coasts. The particularly favourable micro-climate allows the cultivation of the vines and the production of quality wines. The wines of the Côtes de Meuse were classified in 1982 in the category of Vins de Pays.
