MAISON LUC - ART NOUVEAU

1901-1902 Architect : Jacques René Hermant (1855-1930) The Maison Luc is a grand mansion, classically designed by Jacques-René Hermant for Victor Luc, one of the Luc brothers, operating a tannery and a tannic extract factory In 1900, the two brothers bought two adjoining plots of land and each built their own house: only Victor Luc's house remains. Gentil-Bourdet, an eminent ceramist, created an extraordinary flamed stoneware staircase, unique in the Art Nouveau architecture of Nancy. In addition, Jacques Gruber provided a magnificent glass roof "Paysage des Vosges" and Louis Majorelle, the fireplaces for the living rooms.
