ÉGLISE SAINTE-SÉGOLÈNE

France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57000 > Metz > Place Jeanne d'Arc

Situated at the top of the Holy Cross hill, the cradle of the city, this church was rebuilt in the 13th century on an older building of which remains vestiges in the crypt. During the period of the first German annexation, the façade and the bell tower were modified by the architect Conrad Wahn. Inside, there is a 12th century stained glass window, the oldest in Lorraine, depicting a crucifixion scene.
