PARCOURS HISTORIQUE DE LA BATAILLE DE DORNOT - CORNY 1944

A historical journey that immortalizes the battle of Dornot-Corny from 8 to 10 September 1944 claimed 945 American casualties in 60 hours, earning it the nickname "Omaha Beach Lorraine" By going down the village of Dornot and along the Moselle river in Corny, everyone can follow the course of these tragic hours, enamelled with period photos, maps, and above all testimonies of heroes who lived through this hell, illustrated by photos of yesterday and today. The tour is in two parts: Beginning of the route of Dornot: bottom of the village. Beginning of the route from Corny: Au paquis - signposted from the road between Corny and Jouy. Course realized by the Community of Communes of the Moselle Valley in collaboration with the association Thanks GIs.
