After the factory went into liquidation, the repair and manufacture of "perforated music" was taken over by former salaried employees or subcontractors. The best-known subcontractor was Poirot Frères of Mirecourt, Limonaire's true successor. Georges Poirot's fairground organ-building business closed its workshop for good in 1954, bringing down the curtain on activity in the town.
