JARDIN D'EAU

This central space of more than one and a half hectares located on the edge of the canal is a permanent spectacle of vegetation and water jets that invites you to stroll and daydream. In addition to the unusual pools filled with aquatic plants, it reveals small squares bordered by large trees. The children appreciate these spaces where they play in complete peace and quiet From the rue Henri Bazin to the rue des Tiercelins, seven basins are laid out according to a specific plant theme: the canal des Iris, the bassin de la Roselière, the bassin des Typha, the bassin du Miroir d'eau where submerged plants grow, the bassin du Jet d'eau on which nautical modelling can be practised. The basin of the Hundred Fountains creates a garden of unusual and moving figures, while the largest of the water bodies, the basin of the Water Lilies, is embellished with an island planted with bald cypresses.
