ÉGLISE SAINT-MARCEL

France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57365 > Ennery > Place Robert Schuman

The church was built by the Templars at the end of the 15th century. At the time, it comprised only the sanctuary and choir. The choir and transept, which have preserved their original architecture, contain details of remarkable interest. The real treasure of the ENNERY church is the admirable stained glass decorating the windows of the choir and the left arm of the transept. These windows (dated 1548) are by the great glass painter Valentin Bousch, and were listed in the Monuments Historiques register on November 18, 1970.
