SENTIER DECOUVERTE MEANDRES DE LA SEILLE

France > Grand Est > Meurthe-et-Moselle > 54760 > Arraye-et-Han > 3 rue de Lunéville

The twelve kilometers of footpath cross the Sensitive Natural Area of the meanders of the Seille, a site managed by the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Lorraine. At the start of the trail, two explanatory panels: the first summarizes all the remarkable animal and plant species of the site, including the marsh spurge (protected), and a small wader, the curlew; the second is the map of the hiking trail with the location of the main points of interest, the oseraie, the collection of willows, the pike spawning grounds, the bank protections. Each of these four themes is developed on educational panels. (Please note that in the event of flooding, it is not advisable to use the path for safety reasons, as it is close to the river bank and slippery) The trail is connected to the greenway (former railroad) which allows to reach the site of Mont Saint Jean in Jeandelaincourt. A 2.9 km loop will also allow you to discover, thanks to updated panels, the main natural elements and the issues of this remarkable site.
