CIRCUIT ENTRE VIGNES ET CLOCHERS

Thanks to the FRPP for the realization of this hike and for the work done by its teams throughout the year to mark out and maintain these paths. Panoramic path offering magnificent views on the Moselle Valley, the blue line of the Vosges, the Colline de Sion, the Saintois. Many cultural and natural attractions are also to be discovered: churches, wash houses, fountains, the Canal de l'Est, ponds and the Moselle. This trail, which makes a loop, can start at different places: at the parking lot of the campsite Les Iles in Charmes, at the parking lot of the multipurpose hall in Socourt, on the Place des Chanoinesses in Avrainville or in front of the town hall in Florémont. This circuit is marked with a yellow rectangle on a grey background. Starting from the campsite of Charmes, follow the Canal de l'Est which will lead you to the ponds of Paquis. At this point, cross the D157 and you will arrive in the charming village of Socourt. By climbing the slope of the road leading to the heights of the village, you will be able to enjoy a magnificent view of the Moselle valley, the Canal de l'Est or the neighboring villages As you continue on your way, you will gradually discover the surrounding nature, with its local fauna and flora which deserves to be admired. After passing over the RN 57, continue your way to Avrainville. As you enter this village, consider taking the time to look at the fountains and old farms that make up the village. Then, by taking the Eugène Jeandin street, you will go to Florémont, a charming village built on a hillside. Here again, you can discover old buildings, such as the Saint Basle Church dating from 1789, but also a presbytery, a stone wash house and a cross of the 15th century Finally, by taking the hillside path, you will cross again the RN 57, to come back to the city of Charmes, passing by old spinning mills.
