The landscaped park of the Château de Gerbéviller, classified as a historical monument and a natural site, extends over more than 20 hectares, crossed by the river Mortagne It was designed at the beginning of the 19th century by Berthault, Empress Josephine's architect. Two masterpieces of 17th century architecture can be seen there: the only Grotto-nymphaeum in France and the Louis XIII Pavilion. The self-guided tour includes the park, the "bedroom" gardens and the 1900 garden, inspired by the Ecole de Nancy. A small tour guide is available to visitors on the Château's website to follow the explanations as you go along.
