SENTIER DE MÉMOIRE

This tour, jointly organised by the Sânon and Saulnois communities of communes, retraces the tank battle in and around Arracourt: one of the most important battles of the Second World War. This site was the scene of a violent confrontation between American tanks and German panzers between 18 September and the end of October 1944. This trail, created as part of the 60th anniversary of this battle, allows a good understanding of the facts through panels placed in 12 communes. It passes through the communes of Arracourt, Réchicourt la Petite, Bezange la Petite, Lezey, Juvelize, Ley, Moncourt, Coincourt, Parroy, Bures, Bathelémont and Valhey.Itinerary on www.ccsanon.fr, it is advisable to cover this circuit with a motorized vehicle because of its distance.
