CHÂTEAU D'HELFEDANGE

France > Grand Est > Moselle > 57690 > Guinglange

The medieval-style castle dominates the village and the German Nied. It is an old 12th century fortified farmhouse, sober and rustic. 4 bodies make up a rectangular shape decorated with 2 round towers. Some parts were added or modified in the 17th century. The building can boast to have seen many owners over the centuries: lords, barons, dukes, lawyers... During the Second World War it was successively occupied by French, German and American troops. Today it is a private property and cannot be visited.
