CHAPELLE SAINT-NICOLAS

Surrounded by the Moselle countryside, the chapel stands at the end of the village of Loutremange, associated with Condé Northen. It replaces a chapel that was in the centre of the village, on the banks of a stream that flows into the Nied. Flooded several times, it was demolished in 1758. The present chapel was therefore built in a safe place on this site in 1764 (end of work). The bell of the chapel was spared by the 2 wars because it was protected by the inhabitants: they hid it in the Nied and also under a heap of coal.
