CIRCUIT « CHAMPS DE GRUEY

An undulating rural trail through fields and forests in the Hautmougey municipality. Most of the trail is on forest or gravel paths. There is a picnic area along the way. The walk then follows a path known as the Voie Romaine. This part of the walk is very sunny in spring and summer. Blue ring markings all along the route Start: Place de la mairie de Hautmougey Opposite the town hall, turn left twice into rue de l'école and rue des marronniers. Continue straight ahead and turn right at the yield sign, following the blue ring road signs. Follow this road for 500m. At "Les champs Gruey", take the right-hand path. Continue downhill on this path, and at the stream turn left to follow the Grandrupt stream. If you're lucky, you may spot some deer drinking from the stream. You come to a road and turn right, then right again at the next crossroads to follow a gravel path. When you reach another road, cross it to go straight ahead. Go down the path and the track, then straight on to join the road. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. A little further on, you'll find a picnic table on the edge of a field. At La Petite Chicotte, turn right towards the farm, then right again towards the road. Continue straight on to the cemetery, then turn left. At the yield sign, turn right to rejoin the commune of Hautmougey and the starting point.
