SENTIER DE BATHELEMONT

The Community of Communes of Le Sânon now has a new hiking trail in its already rich list of achievements that will delight both small and large hikers This 8-kilometre trail, which starts in the centre of the village, allows you to discover the local fauna and flora with beautiful panoramas as a bonus. You will be able to admire rare plants in the Bénamont woods: the early laiche, the lily, the martagon and the bermuda flower (an American flower) As far as local history is concerned, this trail is not to be outdone: blockhouses, steles, monuments of the first three Americans, Gallo-Roman site, site of the kitchens, the battle of Arracourt tanks, feudal mound, sundial, etc... At the "Poulailler", an exhibition hall permanently open in front of the Town Hall, 19 panels retrace local history. Have a good hike!
