TERRAIN D'AVIATION DE CORCIEUX SENTIER DE MEMOIRE

This memorial trail recalls the existence of the military airfield of 1914-1918 where René Fonck's Ace of Aces started in the C47 squadron and acquired his first commendations and victories. The trail begins with an arch that comes from one of the three airplane hangars of the time. After passing through the arch, explanatory panels are displayed on either side. To reach it, from the centre of the village, at the roundabout of the church direction Vanémont on 1.1 km. Turn left at the roundabout indicating "ZAC des aviateurs et déchetterie". Go up for 500m to the waste dump, turn right and go up the Rue des Aviateurs for 400m.
