ÉGLISE SAINT MAUR

France > Grand Est > Meurthe-et-Moselle > 54300 > Lunéville > 32 Rue Charles Vue #### Paroisse Sainte Anne

Erected in 1854 by Abbé Joseph Trouillet, who also built the Saint-Epvre basilica in Nancy, it bears the name of the saint celebrated on the same spot during the Revolution in a chapel of the eponymous hospital. The building is in the Romanesque-Byzantine style, a blend of Romanesque and Gothic. The statuary and stained glass windows in the choir and nave are indicative of the builder's motivations. Situated on one of the city's main thoroughfares, it is nevertheless set back a little from the street by a pleasant little square planted with trees. The Saint-Maur church is also closely linked to the Viller district and the Keller et Guérin earthenware factory. Open to the public during religious services only (VISIBLE FROM THE OUTSIDE ONLY)
