CIRCUIT POUSSETTE TOUR DU LAC DES CORBEAUX

START / ARRIVAL: Parking at the lake. 5 km from the center of La Bresse through the Vologne valley. DISTANCE / ROUTE AND TERRAIN: 1.4 km in a loop. Possibility to extend the walk to the Sèchemer lake: 4 km round trip. Dirt/gravel paths. All-terrain stroller recommended to go to the pond of Sèchemer and all the lake accessible with any type of stroller. Possibility to rent a stroller at the Residence le Couarôge. On the site: picnic areas, restaurant (preferably by reservation at 06 76 47 60 22), dry toilets. Possibility of fishing. The name of the lake is not linked to the presence of crows. The term "corbeaux" would be a deformation of the name "courbées" referring to the curves of the very steep relief surrounding the lake; thus the name "lac des Courbées" would have derived to "lac des Corbeaux". It is 600 m long, 200 m wide and 27 m deep. It feeds a hydroelectric power station which is part of the power stations of the Régie Municipale d'Electricité de La Bresse which supplies electricity to the town. The access road to the Lac des Corbeaux is closed in winter.
