In the Val de Guéblange, in Audviller, stands discreetly a magnificent mansion built there in 1738. It is the only faithful witness to the half-timbered architecture of the 18th century. Designed with 10 living rooms and the kitchen, it retains all its original plan. The life, work, profession and investment of 10 generations that have succeeded one another under his roof have left palpable traces. The reading of these clearly visible traces makes it a magnificent educational tool where the visitor touches the skin of the actors of nearly 3 centuries of history. Thus, this house saw Léo Closset, secret agent for the Free French Forces, freedom fighter and military hero of the Val de Guéblange who fell in Indochina in 1948, live and grow up. He was not yet 32 years old.
