CIRCUIT DE LA GRANDE ÉCLUSE

This walk allows a better understanding of the facilities built by man to allow river navigation. After passing along the reservoir pond, the route continues along the six locks that once allowed traffic to pass through. The Grande Écluse, which replaced these locks, now saves a considerable amount of time. Built between 1962 and 1965, it is an impressive structure which, at a height of 15.70 metres, offers a magnificent view of the ponds and the canal as a whole.
