French national necropolis and German cemetery of Lagarde This necropolis contains the remains of 552 soldiers, 222 of whom are unknown, killed during the Lorraine offensive. There are 200 individual graves and two ossuaries. The mortal remains were collected in the region of Lagarde, Xures and Coincourt after the fighting in August 1914. The German necropolis contains 379 dead, fallen between 1914 and 1918.
