EGLISE DE SAINT JACQUES DU STAT

Tradition has it that the Chapel of St. James of the Stat dates back to Carolingian times. The only remains of the original chapel are the bell tower (listed in the inventory of historical monuments) and the old choir. In 1878, the church was enlarged, and took its final shape, to be able to welcome all the faithful. The church of Saint James of the Stat is located on the summer pilgrimage route to Compostela. Every year at the end of July, the Friends of Saint James Association organises a party to celebrate the Feast of Saint James.
