SENTIER PÉDAGOGIQUE DU BERFANG

Welcome to the "zone of silence": look, listen, enjoy. When the Folschviller mine closed, the Berfang Pond was built on the site of one of the former ponds that collected the sludge and sludge from the mine's coal washing water. Today, an exceptionally rich fauna and vegetation have taken over the site. The area is classified and protected. To guide walkers, the Club Vosgien de Saint-Avold has marked out a 1.7 km circular path with 14 informative panels.
