BLOCKHAUS DES GRM

Two of the last GRM (Mobile Republican Guards) posts restored in Moselle are in Saint-Avold. These blockhouses made it possible to delay the enemy's advance along the main axes, before its garrison withdrew to the Maginot line 7 kilometres towards Faulquemont. One is located at the north exit of Saint-Avold (intersection of Avenue de Fayetteville and Route du Puits) and the other towards the east (on the RD 603 next to the restaurant l'Auberge de la forêt).
