In 1830, the cult building, dedicated to St. Lawrence, which had been extended in 1779, was demolished and rebuilt, and made bigger. During the years 1860 - 1864, a new drum and a new bell tower were built, topped by a pyramidal spire that turned one of its edges to the south. Heavily damaged by bombing at the end of the last war, the church was not repaired until 1949.
