RANDONNÉE - LE CHEMIN DE L'EMPEREUR

Access : From Remiremont, take the road to Val-d'Ajol and after 2 km, turn left towards Girmont-Val-d'Ajol. Parking : Park on the large parking lot near the courtyard. Distance : 6,5 km / Duration : 2 h / Difference in altitude : 190m / Marking : red ring. 1) From the parking lot, go to the right of the courtyard and cross the meadow to the forest. Go downhill quite steeply, but with nice laces towards the small road and go to the right. Take a path on the right and leave it immediately to take a path on the left. 2) Cross a road and take a path in front of you that arrives at the Cascade du Géhard. Go down along the stream until you reach a path. Take it on the right and join the road. Follow it for a while and go back to the right on a forest path until the Chalet de l'empereur. 3) Go back across the road on a large path and leave it on the left by a steep climbing path to reach the hamlet of Dropt (possibility to go around it) and then join the village parking by the road.
