The church of Saint-Etienne de Tarquimpol has a Romanesque round tower dating from the 12th century. It has a Gothic choir from the 14th century. The church was rebuilt after the Thirty Years' War. In the 19th century, 40 Merovingian sarcophagi (looted but not removed) were discovered in the church. The church has an 18th century high altar. The cemetery around the church houses the family tomb of the Gaita family, including the occultist poet Stanislas de Gaita.
