BALADE FAMILLE - EN FORÊT VOSGIENNE

A short walk to discover the Vosges forest and its magnificent landscapes. As soon as you leave, enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle nestled at the foot of the Ballons! Access: from the tourist office, take the RN66 towards Bussang. After the bridge, turn left, rue du Tertre (be careful, large hairpin bend on rue du Lait). Pass two farms on your right. Before the third farm, turn left onto the dirt track. Duration: 1 hour. Distance: 2.5 km. Difference in height : 132 meters. Departure: the small median at the beginning of the path on the left, where you can park your vehicle. From the platform where you parked your car, take the dirt road on your left which climbs up to the platform. From the platform (sign Col du Lait 670M), turn left onto the path that goes up, marked out in green rectangle. Take a break on the bench or picnic table and admire the magnificent landscape in front of you. Then take the small path going down (green rectangle) in front of the bench. You will arrive at the Milk sighting post, remnant of the construction site of the "Percée des Vosges". You continue on the path that goes down. At the bottom of the wooden steps, go to the right on the unmarked path. You will find a small bench on your left with a new point of view. Continue on the path on the right. Do not follow the left path that leads to the apiary. Go up the wooden stairs to the right. At the big rock on your left, go down and continue on the path in front of you. Then take the ascent to the right. You arrive on a platform, continue to the right. You will then come to a clearing. Continue until you reach a wide path and go to the right. Here you are at the first bench and picnic table you met at the beginning of your journey. Go back down through the Col du Lait to get back to your starting point.
