ROCHER DU FALKENFELS

Access on foot via a forest road and then a footpath. Allow 20 minutes' walk each way. Starting point: between Hellert and Haselbourg, next to the old sawmill. Under the Rocher du Falkenfels, curious troglodyte dwellings, uninhabited since 1902, can be discovered as you wander through the forest. The site offers a splendid view over the Pays de Dabo. Good to know: the Troglodytes circuit is a 10 km hike starting from the villages of Hellert, Schaeferhof and the Neustadtmuhle picnic area. Yellow ring markings.
