This rock is a remarkable natural heritage site, with its pink Vosges sandstone rock offering breathtaking views of the Dabo forest massif and surrounding area from the summit. Its name, Heidenschlossfels, means "pagan castle rock". Let yourself be carried away by these mysterious determinations and imagine all kinds of stories. Around 200 peaks in the Donon - Dabo - Saverne region are so named, and traces of human occupation dating from between 50 BC and 300 AD are clearly visible.
