The Oratories of Cabannes.

- The Oratory of the Virgin (Route de Cavaillon): Also known as the Oratory of the Saint or of Our Lady commemorates the Marian Jubilee of 1851. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Hope. It is a monumental building built in the 19th century. It is similar to a small temple because of its architecture: it has an ashlar base, with square pillars with capitals projecting from the corners, topped by a cornice supporting a high niche, open in a semicircular arch, framed by beautiful columns with bases and capitals under a flat roof on a cornice. Inscription under the niche: "Spes. Our Hope Salvation" and on a marble plaque placed on the base "Tribute of the inhabitants of Cabannes to the Virgin Mary. Jubilee -1851-". It is completely protected by a fence. - Oratory of Saint-Alphonse de Liguori (Route de Noves) : Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, to whom the building is dedicated, was an ecclesiastic of the XVIII century, traditionally known for his fight against injustice and his generosity towards the little people. The oratory is located at the entrance of a private property. It was erected in 1905 and blessed by Mgr Meffre, Archbishop of Aix, on his return from Africa. The original bronze statue was stolen fifty years later, replaced by a stone statue which was stolen a year later, and a third plaster statue was broken during an attempted theft. The owners of the Mas decided to build an identical oratory in the courtyard of their estate to protect it from malicious acts. Above a beautiful molded base, a short pillar made up of two levels of ashlar is topped by a cornice on which rests an ogival niche topped by a steeply pitched gable roof. An inscription is engraved in Gothic characters: Saint Alphonsus. - Saint Magdalene Oratory (Route d'Avignon): This oratory is dedicated to Saint Magdalene, patron saint of the village of Cabannes. Built in large stone, it is composed of a quadrangular cippe bearing the name and date of construction (1765) on three steps. A molded cornice separates it from the semi-circular niche. The whole is topped by a pyramidal roof surmounted by a metal cross. The oratory is located on the side of the road but it is possible to park on the side of the road. - Saint-Roch's Oratory (Chemin de Saint-Roch) : A very well known saint in the Arles region, Saint-Roch was invoked during the great epidemics of plague and cholera. People used to go there in procession in August for the feast of the saint. The brotherhood of the White Penitents of Avignon, on their way to the chapel of Saint Sixtus in Eyguières, used to stop in front of this oratory. Above a stone base and a small molded pedestal, the base is surmounted by a double cornice on which rests a high recessed semi-circular niche. The pyramid-shaped stone roof is topped by a small stone cross. Under the niche is a heart pierced by a spire and topped by a five-pointed star as well as the inscription: "The inhabitants of Cabannes grateful". Two iron brackets are used to hang the bread crowns during the August festival.
