They went on to study classical music at various conservatories, and after a variety of career paths, came together to form this atypical duo. Francis Jauvain, who has accompanied numerous artists, has turned to a more personal project, combining classical aesthetics with the phrasing of South American popular music. Among his acquaintances, Ludovic Grassot was the guitarist most suited to this project. After perfecting his skills with Gérard Verba, Ludovic Grassot was awarded the Premier Prix de la Ville de Paris, and went on to specialize in Carlevaro technique with Jad Azkoul in Switzerland. Today, Francis and Ludovic present a repertoire essentially focused on South American and contemporary music. They perform virtuoso pieces such as Piazzolla?s "Tango Suite", Radamés Gnattali?s "Suite Retratos", and a lute prelude by J.S. Bach revisited by Francis Jauvain, who also composed the "Suite Frossarde".
