After a life of theater and dance and a career in architecture, Claude Voisin began experimenting with modeling in the 2000s. He works essentially from clay slabs that he folds, assembles, curves, and deforms, in a search for dynamics and movement.
His pieces are fired at low temperature, raku style or treated with various smokings. His creation seems bulimic to want to explore all the possible forms of the sculpture. He brings together very different lines of research confronting simple forms, flat colors, proportions, rhythms, materials ... He also creates with 4 hands, combining ceramics with other materials.
