A new art gallery in Le Mans ! 12 permanent artists : Willy Bihoreau, Nicolas Boutruche, Ulrike Bolenz, Olivier de Cayron, Maria Deulina Nicolas Drouet, Max Foggea, Remy Le Guillerm, Marie Christine Jaladon, Eric Lesigne, Marie-Laure Mallet Melchior, Raoul Scipioni-Guenancia .....Et 20 centuries of paintings ressucités by Daniel Lagoutte. <br> What is the common point between all the artists ? visual artists, photographers, digital artists, sculptors ? members or supporters of the Mixta-Médiart project ? Undoubtedly to accept, each one with its sensitivity, its subjectivity, its intimate perception, to be confronted with reality. And in that to rehabilitate, to revisit the figurative. Not of course in a return to the reproduction or the imitation of the real which would constitute a nonsense all at once historical and artistic. But rather in very personal and contemporary approaches, of transfiguration, trituration, mixing of "things seen". In a back and forth between the "world" as it is offered to the eye and new representations of an interior universe and an assumed subjectivity. An oscillation between realism and interpretation (in the borrowing and the imprints of the classic fields of the visible: the body, the objects, the urban landscape or of the nature?), between seeing and giving to see, between the impression and the expression, the revealed image and its polarizations? These orientations are at the origin of the pictorial movement Transfiguring founded in Paris in 2014 and of Transfiguring Optico-narrative, a book published by Art-Scenes in December 2017 and in which Marie-Laure Mallet-Melchior and Olivier de Cayron ? founders of the association Mixta-Médiart ? are involved. They rely on photography as a support, to transform, distort, mirror a reality that suddenly reveals its strangeness, its secret layers, its unexpected superimpositions, its dreamlike dimensions?
